Oscar Logo25/03/2002: The Academy Awards:
The Academy has proven their ignorance concerning non-Hollywood movies once again. Memento did neither win the Oscar for best original screenplay nor the one for best editing (Dody Dorn). They instead went to Gosford Park & Black Hawk Down.

Spirit Award
24/03/2002: Independent Spirit Awards:
Much overlooked in all the Oscar-rumble the Spirit Awards were celebrated on March 24th.The Award for the Best Feature was won by Memento. Christopher Nolan was given the awards for both Best Director and Best Screenplay. Carrie-Anne Moss won the Spirit Award for the Best Supporting Female for her role in Memento.

05/03/2002: Memento Special Edition Release Date & more info:
DVD LogoThe release date for the SE-DVD has been pushed back in favor of adding more bonus material. Read more.

DVD LogoMemento Special Edition?There are rumors that Columbia will release a Special Edition US DVD of Memento containing a commentary by Christopher Nolan and an extended cut. The release date would be April 2nd.
